DeepTissue

Deep tissue massage focuses on specific muscles of the body in an attempt to break-up any adhesions. Strokes are considerably slower than a traditional massage and incorporate a greater amount of pressure.

Pre-Event

Using a combination of massage strokes, pressure and stretching, the goal of this treatment is to increase circulation, joint range-of-motion, and muscle flexibility. A typical session may be between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on when the activity actually begins.

Trigger Point

Trigger point is the application of slowly increasing, non-painful pressure applied directly to a “knot” in the skeletal muscle. This constant pressure is held until resistance and tenderness are reduced.

Post-Event

A post-event massage can help reduce next day stiffness and soreness by assisting the body in supplying essential nutrients and oxygen to tissues, promoting lymph circulation, enhancing the elimination of accumulated metabolic waste by-products.
